Yes. I have been going through the same situation. I applied for AOS through marriage on 9/23/2019 and I was interviewed on 2/16/2022. That’s 2.5 years for an interview. I still haven’t received a decision.
I’m sorry that you are going through this and I hope you’ll have a shorter

Yes, its really upsetting. Is your local office Miami? Mine is Jacksonville Fl and it looks like its quite similar. You waited the max. for processing times according to the site, which is 29.5 months so 2.5 years almost. But a decision should be faster. Im sorry you had to go through this but at least you are at the end of the road. Have you submitted some type of request during the whole process? Or did they mention any reason why the process took so long and the decision too? All the best.

Are you Pittsburgh too?

No Im in Florida. I know it all depends on your office and there is basically nothing you can do, but its also hard to understand. because they tell you to check their site for normal processing times but there are even some people who get interviews even before the expected processing times for their cities. I guess its a mystery 🤷‍♀️

Something that needs to be kept in mind is that immigration is a privilege, not a right.  So, as frustrating and annoying as it can be, it's a matter of being at the mercy of USCIS.  At least you're with your partner and can travel and work.  Lots of people are stuck in limbo, separated or are stuck and can't work.  Gotta search for the silver linings or the process will drive you mad!

Yes, thats why Im asking if anybody is going through the same situation to share the frustration 😄

My local office is Miami. I waited the maximum processing times. As soon as I was outside normal processing times, I submitted a service request on 3/17/22. No response. I also submitted Asked my congresswoman to help me. She received this response from the USCIS.

Thank you for your inquiry on behalf of your constituent concerning the status of their pending immigration matter.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that your constituent’s case is pending at this time. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also ensuring public safety, national security and compliance with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays.

USCIS is unable to render a decision on your constituent’s application until certain issues are resolved. USCIS is striving to resolve these issues as soon as possible. We are unable to determine at this time when the review process for the application will be completed.

We hope this information is helpful. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.

When I googled the response to the congresswoman, I realized that this is a generic answer.

Huhh that answer obviously says nothing, they basically say your application will randomly get delayed and you have to deal with it. Otherwhise they'd explain what those "issues" are.. its also disappointing not even congress people are able to help. Some people say it has worked for them.

Let me know when you get the decision, did they request evidence or mention anything out of the ordinary during the interview?

I honestly dont know what to do, because obviously you cant do anything if your application is part of the unlucky ones.. i remember when i was able to talk to somebody over the phone after getting my EAD card she said "you get that card because the interview takes too long".. she didnt talk about times but i guess she was already giving me a hint 😒

They didn’t request any additional evidence. I even brought an updated medical letter, to prevent a potential RFE

I just spoke with the case worker of the congresswoman, and he said that this is a generic response. However, he indicated that it’s not pending a background check because otherwise we would have received a different generic response. He indicated that the CO just needs to get to my case and make a decision.

I guess its also good to be in touch with people in your city. Have you used the app lawfully?
