Cfo required for filipina fiancee?

I am happy to say that my filipina fiancee passed her k1 visa interview the other day. All she has to do now is submit an updated nbi and police clearance along with her passport and she is good to go. I have read a lot about the cfo seminar for filipina fiancee going overseas and I hear it's required to leave the airport. But there are a few that claim the cfo is only needed for younger filipina women. My fiancee is 38 years old and I doubt that age matters. I don't think she can leave the Manila airport without having attended the cfo seminar. I am hoping someone will be able to provide clear direction to me about this.

Please be advised that the only real indication of visa approval is when the CEAC status changes to "Issued".   That will be after all required documents are approved and all administrative processing is complete.  Hopefully, all that will happen quickly.  Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

My question is,  how do you pass the interview when it was identified that she needed to update her NBI?   The CFO is a remains to be a requirement regardless of age.

Good point.  Some people don't realize that the interview questions are just a small part of approval.  ALL documents must be submitted, all documents must be approved, all background checks have to be done, and other administrative processing must be complete before a person truly passes the interview.  Thanks.

My fiance is no where near at this stage yet but I´d like to know if she still be subjected to CFO? I was born and lived  there until I was 17years old. I hold both American and Filipino citizen. I am fluent with her local dialect.  Is she will be exempted?

CFO is about and for her and not you.  She will have to go through CFO.

Finally done.
