Op, you need to check the Danish Embassy website for requirements on traveling to Denmark for Pakistani citizen. Traveling to Denmark is a Danish immigration issue and not a US immigration issue.

Sounds like you got an agent who doesn't know what they're doing. Escalate to a supervisor.
