NVC unable to view W-2 despite following submission guidelines.

Hi all,

After waiting 83 days from our submition date of our documents, NVC has accepted all of our applications and documents except my W2 document.

I got the message stating “This document cannot be viewed. The file is either corrupted or password protected. Please re-upload this document. Please visit https://nvc.state.gov/scan for further guidance.”

The W2 document uploaded did not have any issues and can be viewed on our end. According to my lawyer who submitted it, it met all the guidelines of being less than 2MB and being a PDFile.

We quickly resubmitted it within the 30 minutes of receiving the message but didn’t make any changes to the document. My question is now, what possible reasons was NVC unable to view the document originally? And what are the chances them reviewing this quick small resubmission?

Any advice would be helpful. Thank You.

like many documents we try to copy or scan at home on our own systems,   they can get scrabbled by machinery,  paper jams or low ink or file seems to come in on top of another like 2 pages went thru the scanner together

Computer files get corrupted within the system or during transmission.  It happens.  Unfortunate in this case, but all you can do is what you've already done.

Thank you for the info. It is unfortunate. Luckily everything else did get accepted. Does that mean all those other documents were reviewed?

Acceptance follows review, yes.
