My petition for my mother which was file on 4/6/2022 was approved today 4/19/2023. Waiting to hear from NVC. Can anyone advise on which documents I will be needing for the next steps?

Hi I am also collecting documents for my mother and trying to submit this week. Basically NVC will give you the case no. And all the steps to follow. You will need to pay the fees for AOS and IV before uploading the documents. In the meantime you can fill up the form I 864 , get tax transcripts etc .

How soon after being approved did you hear from NVC? When I filed my taxes the other day, I saved all my W2, tax transcript for the past 3 years. I will start filling out the i864. What's the total cost that has to be paid. I am trying to have my duck in a row as I want to get everything is asap.

Will they ask I 864? How much do you need income to be eligible?

Of course I864 is an important documents. The income depends on the house hold size.

Hey all, it's been almost 13 months for me and still nothing, in Nebraska Service Center. Hoping for an update soon.

Actually, I just went on the USCIS website to check the status just in case and I am seeing two approval notices in the "documents" section for both of my parents! Yayyy.🤩 It is a little odd that I didn't get notified and that the status says "actively reviewed by USCIS" with today's date, but I am happy anyway.🥳
