Hello All,

Is the Affidavit of Support (I-134) required to bring into the interview after the Noa2 is received?

Because I found this information on the USCIS website:

image.png.3531b45067622d922c150e852c7fb020.png

https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/affidavit-of-support

This is conflicting because the guide on visajourney mentions it needs to be provided at time of interview.

Thank you.

Hello, you are looking at the green card process for I-864, which is different from the K1 visa process.

For the K1 visa process, I-129F and I-134 are different forms used at different steps.

Best to follow the K1 Step-by-step guide:

https://www.visajourney.com/guides/k1-fiance-visa/

Or follow the flowchart and tips:

https://www.visajourney.com/guides/k1-fiance-visa-flowchart/

https://www.visajourney.com/guides/k1-fiance-visa-tips/

I-129F is step2, and I-134 is what the US petitioner must give (or provide) to the foreigner beneficiary to take to the interview in step13.

https://www.uscis.gov/i-134

There is also the I-134 forum for more answers at

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/305-i-134/

From your Timeline, you already sent in the I-129F with NOA1 in May 2021.

So you can join the May 2021 K1 filers group with others facing the similar processes at

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/762440-may-2021-i-129f-k-1-filers/

Good luck!

Thank you so much for the detailed response, that really cleared up my confusion! Hopefully I will get NOA2 in a few months, it's been so long already!
