I was just about to book a trip back to China to see my wife and son (at what I hope to be the mid-point in the waiting process). But I was wondering if I'd have enough vacation time left to make the trip over again if I had to go the consulate for an interview (for K-3 or CR1). Any idea of how this process plays out? Do we interview together or separately?

Sorry for the basic question, but I fired my lawyer and I need to get up to speed, now that I'm doing this on my own.

But my son is already a citizen (with passport) - Why will they need him to attend?

Do we interview together or separately?

Sorry for the basic question, but I fired my lawyer and I need to get up to speed, now that I'm doing this on my own.

Only the visa applicants are allowed into the room where the interviews are conducted in Guangzhou. You cannot attend the actual interview with your wife. If you want to be in Guangzhou to support her, you can but the interviews are on the 5th floor. The closest the USC spouse or Fiance(e) can be is to wait on the 4th floor in the coffee shop.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

They don't need you to intend the interview only your wife. And oh, you have a very cute son :) me and my husband are planning for having our baby when i m waiting for the visa in China, I wish that I have a baby as cute as your son
