Hello,we don't have a lawyer, we got a NOA2 a few days ago. what is the next step, can someone please write what is needed next? thank you

The next step is to wait more, there is nothing you need to do yet.

The case will be sent to NVC.

NVC will make a case number and then send it the to embassy, when it's sent to the embassy then you will be notified - until then just read up on the next steps, get your documents ready etc.

Looks like it takes 40-60 days before you will hear anything from what I've gathered.

Does anyone know what part of the 1040s the consulate would want? Mine are like 50 pages long. I don't want to take up too much of their time. Is it just the 1040 and the schedules? Or should I just submit it all to be safe?

We are mailing in packet 3 tomorrow. I'm really excited.

You can go to www.irs.gov 2. Click “Get My Tax Record” 3. Click “Get Transcript Online” and click “Create Account” to create a login OR login if you have created one in the past. There’s you can print out your tax transcript which has in a few pages all the information contained in your tax return, then you don’t need to present your return. Other wise I think just the first few pages that shows your adjusated income for the year

If I submitted both, do you think they would mind? I would paperclip them together. I'm just really nervous about making sure everything is all good.

I did 3 years tax transcripts and then also attached 2021 tax return.  I don’t think it was necessary, but like you I wanted to be positive that I had it all covered.  Lol

Sounds good. I did that too. Since I'm the US citizen filling out the form for my fiance, do I fill in anything at all on the section for the beneficiary signature and boxes? It's labeled as part 4. It says he doesn't need to complete it since I'm the one filling it out for him but I'm not sure if we need to check any boxes or anything like that

Good news, best of luck!!! Do you have an interview date?

Thank you! No interview date yet. They want to review our paperwork first, then they will let us make an appointment. I hope their backlogs aren't too long. I wish there was a way to check that but there only is for nonimmigrant visas that exclude fiance visas.
