have you called NVC? I called them and got my case number about 2 weeks after i got the NOA2: (603)334-0888

I didn't realize they were taking calls again. It seems like it's been ages since it was possible to get anyone on the phone during this whole process. I just got back to the states on 7/11. I was overseas visiting the boy for a few weeks. I'll try to call Wednesday and see if I can find something out. I won't be able to go back overseas until October, so maybe we can get the interview scheduled around that time. It'd be nice to bring him back with me this time.

My fiance's embassy is Tokyo, Japan and we have been waiting 41 days since approval. Is this normal? I thought it would be max 3 weeks. I don't at all understand what is taking so long. Again.

it’s 48 days for me and i’m still waiting. there is a report under immigration timelines, if you run that and sort by noa2 ( you can also filter by country ) , that will give you an idea. it is about 2 months. our next big day is aug 2. this is just my observation… if your case is “at NVC” before the day shown on NVC processing time, then your case has a very good chance to go to “In Transit” the next shipping week. i think we have a pretty good probability for Aug 2. good luck :)

yes, the waiting is getting harder as we get closer!

Finally after 15 months!! Tomorrow I leave for Buenos Aires, I am going to attend the interview on the 28th.  I know every Embassy is different, so not sure how I will be treated, if anyone out there has been through the process I would appreciate a little insight.

I think we are prepared, I have all the original documents, the original application, the approval letter, the NVC confirmation, the DS-160 barcode.  I have my I-134 support form with documentation of income and assets, and a file with proof of relationship that is almost overbearing!! Including photos and letters from friends during the 6 months we spent together in Mexico!!!  I think ours is a slam dunk, but nothing is ever guaranteed!  I hope they can issue the visa without too much delay, it is winter time in Argentina and we want to enjoy together what is left of the summer here in the Midwest!!!!!

Here goes nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey !

in new edition i-134 do beneficiary needs to provide his income and assets ?

*Update*

I was going to try to call the NVC as was suggested on my next day off , but on Tuesday  (as I'm at work and unable to really do much) I get the email that has our NVC case number! I was excited for all of a second- I couldn't open the attachment at work, and had to wait until I got home to actually see the message with our NVC case number. The first thing I did when I got home was contact Rapid Visa to see what to do next. Got back a form letter with the same Http address the NVC letter had listed. So glad I spent money on their great service 🙄   Anyway I checked and it said our case was in transit (7/22).  Today (7/25) It says our case is ready. I don't know if they contact us or if we need to contact the embassy in Armenia? I haven't had time to really look into everything because I haven't really had much time off of work.  I know  I should be happy, but I'm actually really stressed out.  I know he's chomping at the bit to be over in the US, and would schedule the appointment tomorrow if he could, however, the timing is sort of terrible for me as I'm just starting a new travel assignment and commuting 3 hours per working day. So I'm exhausted to say the least.

This assignment doesn't end until Oct 15th, and we'd already discussed my returning to The Republic of Georgia in October then traveling to Armenia together. We were supposed to go to Armenia last winter, as I wanted to go see some of the sites, but he didn't want to deal with the snow.  We both agreed Iran might not be the safest place for someone who openly opposes the government there and is marrying an American, so I agreed that he could stay in Georgia instead of returning to Iran and we'd push off our sightseeing until my next trip.  The apartment I purchased for us in Georgia is still not fully renovated, and will not be  finished until August.  I'm not comfortable not going back to ensure that it's all ship-shape, since once he's here it will be at least a year before we can probably travel there again. His family is also coming out in August to see him and will be staying in the apartment, so it needs to be finished soon!

Plus, on a more selfish note, I'm paying through the nose for both this apartment and these trips, and I'd like to enjoy this apartment at least once. I've also pushed off doing the few things I've been wanting to see and do in Georgia and Armenia because we had to work on the apartment, deal with his virtual classes for his MBA, his crappy little job he found that paid nothing and meant working 7 days a week, deal with immigration in Georgia(Iranians only get a 45 day visa. I've paid for lawyers and visa extensions to keep him there-this was one of the reasons it was so important to purchase property there),  it was always something. He kept promising me the next trip we could see the caves, go to the waterfalls, etc., but each trip has been working around his schedule and me just accepting it.  I'd like to actually have one good, relaxing trip over there. I feel like I deserve at least that with all the money, time, and job/ life disruptions, and  stress I've been dealing with.

Then there's his MBA. He's not done until September. I'd like him to be finished before he gets here, because I know he'll be super distracted wanting to do everything and see everything once he gets here.  I've already reworked my life and visits around his schooling. So it'd be nice to have his MBA totally finished BEFORE he gets here.  Plus, I don't think he understands the reality of life here. I'll be working 12 hour shifts, plus commuting. I have no idea where we're going to live since I'm now working as a travel tech. That means we can end up in some pretty crummy apartments, or hotels. I'm trying to save money to pay for both the apartment, and for us to purchase a house. It's not going to be dinners out and long drives through the country. It's going to be living pretty rough for awhile.

I don't mean to sound so grouchy, and I am happy we're moving forward, I'm just stressed out and frustrated.  Sorry I'm rambling so much, I just got off a night shift and will be going on for  a day shift tomorrow. I'm just tired and overwhelmed. Thanks for letting me vent.

hi @littleminxgirl, it is nice to know how others are dealing with this journey, thanks for sharing :) could you also please share your your timeline? please update your timeline.

wish you best

We applied for the Fiancé visa on 4/30/20201. Got the NOA 2 on 5/30/2022. Got the NVC 2 case number 7/22/2022. So next step is scheduling the interview and getting the medical done (I think) It's been over a year of uncertainty and stress. I left my job in November so I could travel to see him. Since Then I'm taking travel jobs in my field that typically last around 13 weeks. So even work-wise, I feel like I'm in constant limbo. It's just emotionally very draining,
