I think your guess about the consulate not having interview times is probably correct.  When the NVC was taking calls they told me my case would be sent off when the consulate was opening interview times.  Who knows whether their timeline for case processing has been updated if they were closed for eight months. I know it's all very frustrating, best of luck.

Just after you sent this I got the email. Holy cow I'm so happy!!! Yay! It says however that it's an immigrant visa, which is weird, but maybe they just process it like one? I am so happy now. I thought this was gonna be so long.

Woo hoo congrats!!!!

The K-1 is weird it falls under the non immigrant category when you apply, built when it gets to the consulates they treats it like an immigrant visas.  Who cares as long as they are moving it along right?

Finally after 15 months!! Tomorrow I leave for Buenos Aires, I am going to attend the interview on the 28th.  I know every Embassy is different, so not sure how I will be treated, if anyone out there has been through the process I would appreciate a little insight.

I think we are prepared, I have all the original documents, the original application, the approval letter, the NVC confirmation, the DS-160 barcode.  I have my I-134 support form with documentation of income and assets, and a file with proof of relationship that is almost overbearing!! Including photos and letters from friends during the 6 months we spent together in Mexico!!!  I think ours is a slam dunk, but nothing is ever guaranteed!  I hope they can issue the visa without too much delay, it is winter time in Argentina and we want to enjoy together what is left of the summer here in the Midwest!!!!!

Here goes nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So happy to see this post! Wishing you the best at the interview sending positive vibes

My approved petition arrived okay, but everything is a mess. My lawyer isn't very competent and my fiance is always confused about what's going on. I have to watch every single little part of the process that I paid the lawyer to do, and the stress is eating away at me. Even the check list we got from the consulate has inconsistencies and I just am so confused. We have had to correct the DS-160 several times and it still isn't right. My fiancé tried getting the police clearance but I think he messed it up. I ask my lawyer questions and he is completely out of touch. When getting the police clearance it says that I have to mail it in but on the actual police website it says we don't get a physical copy and that they send it directly to Consulate, so how can we? Do we send them my fiances actual birth certificate? It says I need to submit my financial info like my last paystub and my 1040s, but my lawyer doesn't know how far back I should go with the 1040s (I'm guessing 3 years). I have to have all this stuff together to even get an interview. It says arrange a medical appointment but I dont know if it has to be completed before we schedule an interview. What a mess... If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

The thread here

Has info about the police file and how to send it to the AKL embassy and NVC

For those of you who have already had an interview/ have an interview scheduled, how long did it take from the time your interview was ready at the embassy to have an interview date? Ours is at the embassy in Paris and it appears to be highly inefficient🥲

My fiancé and I are going through Frankfurt (beneficiary is German citizen) and I know the process is a bit different there than at a lot of other consulates, but we responded to P3 on 6/14, got the email that we could schedule the interview on 6/29, and our interview is scheduled for 7/12 (Tuesday).

It took about a week after the Argentina embassy received the application for us to be able to schedule an interview.  The interview date was 3 weeks out

Does anyone know what the validity date on the NOA2 is? We are struggling immensely getting everything for packet 3. I think we might be almost done but I don't know. Will our visa completely expire if our interview isn't by the date? I'm so worried.

i'm not sure if it's different for every embassy, but for london if you're 4 months past the date of NOA2, then they just asked us to write an updated letter of intent to marry (like we had to include in our initial I-129F submission) and bring it to the interview.

It's officially been 45 days since we received our approval to move onto NOA2. Since then nothing. No NVC2 numbers. No emails. Nothing. This has been the most stressful, depressing experience. I've pretty much given up hope. I've emailed, but only gotten a generic response back that we were approved on both May 31st and June 1st. I paid for Rapid Visa, but they're useless. No help at all, only tell me to contact them once I've gotten the number.. I guess I just need to vent. I feel like my entire life is on hold and I'm tired of  it.. I just want to settle down, get a normal job again, and start  my life. And who knows when, or if my fiancé will ever get to come here, much less how long before he can legally start working. I told him we should both try to immigrate to Canada because it would be faster, but he wanted to come here.. Sigh..
