I-864 N/A even in these blanks?

The instructions say, "If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed."

So I'm not sure about these blanks in red here. The question applies to me so I'm filling it out, but some of the blanks don't apply to me. Do I put N/A in there or just leave blank?

I am confused.  I understand 2c and 2g, but if you have a US mailing address, then why would you not have something in 2a (your name), and 2h?  As to the others, they would be "N/A".

Because I don't need an "In Care of Name." I'm pretty sure that means if someone who is not me is receiving my mail.

And Postal code is for non-US address. Zip codes are for US addresses.

You are right, so for 2a, I would put in your name and the other three "N/A".

Good Luck!

Yeah, looking back at the old form I used for my wife's AOS, that box was not there.  I would put "N/A" there too.

Good Luck!

This section is if someone other than you is receiving your mail. If it is not your case, you put N/A.

There has been some controversy as to whether you have to put N/A or leave it blank. A few people have received RFEs for leaving blank spaces, so the safest bet is to write N/A or NONE.

Exactly.  Just leave the N/A spaces blank.  Yes, really.  Yes, I'm sure.  There are a few places on forms where you would enter "Not Applicable" but actually no place on the standard PDF files that will accept N/A.  When a question or field is rendered N/A by a previous check box, just leave it blank.  The instruction not to leave anything blank is and artifact.

If people get RFE's for leaving something blank it wasn't something that was not applicable.  It was for leaving something blank that IS applicable.

Note also that NONE and N/A are not the same, and that most spaces on these forms will not accept N/A.  If something is truly not applicable and you NEED to say so, type NOT APPLICABLE in the first related space and leave the rest of the related spaces blank.  Yes really!  Yes, I'm sure!

So I'm not sure about these blanks in red here

Kudos for being careful about leaving blanks or putting in a quick / repetitive “n/a”. In the not too distant past of previous administration Prolific Proclamations, one fine day USCIS rejected ALL ( or as many as it could) applications of ALL types that had any blank little box.
Needless to say that really really hurt some time sensitive filings. They got sued …and stopped rejecting applications w little blank boxes…but it’s worth being careful

Yes, but unfortunately, people are still unnecessarily confused by the instruction artifact not to leave anything blank.  The PDF forms and online forms actually FORCE blank fields.

Hello again! So I just found out that we did not get DQ'd.

They want my joint sponsor's 2020 W2s, despite giving them the IRS transcripts.

But the bigger issue seems to be that they are not recognizing my marriage certificate from South Korea. I applied for a replacement when filing the I-130. I asked and the Korean administrator told me that he was giving me the only document I could get.

Do you have any ideas about this? Is there any way around this? So now when I refile, we have to wait another 2.5 months, right?
