As long as you learned how to make mamaliga, and can appreciate palinca , you are on the right path. Your prep and doc is very good and there are some guides/charts on this site for the USCIS/NVC/Bucuresti Consulate paper journey.

Mm, I'd kill for some sarmale and mamaliga right about now. And a nice ciorba. I miss Romanian food.
