Expedited processing

I just heard a news saying starting from June 1, you can pay 3200$ extra to get your case expedited, not sure if K visa is included or not, anybody has heard anything about it?

The new classifications of petitions and applications that will be eligible for premium processing will be phased in as follows:

FY2022:

• Form I-140 EB-1 Multinational Manager

• Form I-140, EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW)

• Form I-539 Change of Status to F, J, or M visa status

• Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization for F-1, OPT, and J exchange visitors

FY2025:

• Form I-539 Change or Extension of Status for E, H, L, O, P, and R dependents

• Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization for additional applicants (not yet defined)

No idea. It seems in terms of national interest, bringing skilled foreign workers is maybe viewed as higher priority than family based petitions? That's my only guess.

spouse and fiancee visas always take more work ,  more documents ,  more clearances as they are immigrant visas for permanent US residency 

 

some visas do not even require a medical exam such as:

Nonimmigrant visa applicants, applying with DOS; and nonimmigrants seeking change/extension of status while in the United States^[5]

 

so, less work for USCIS per visa type and more money and they like money

They can hire more people then, here America citizens involved and they put foreigners on top of America citizens and it doesn’t make any sense.

I would make other plans if I know k visa takes song long, it said 6-8 months, I tried to buy a townhouse in last November and signed the contract but my fiancé not liked it so I quit after the home inspection, my rental lease will expire in June and I hope she can come by then and she said we look at houses together and now the mortgage rates skyrocketed

Had you asked before filing, we would have overwhelmingly recommended the CR-1.

I used rapid visa as my agent and they told me K visa is always faster than CR-1

Sadly many on here have had issues with Rapid Visa

That was the case years ago.  Not in 2022.
