Hello there,

Recently, my family got done with their Immigration Visa interview (F4 from India). As I'm overage, my name wasn't mentioned in any of the communications prior and even in the interview letter.

After a couple weeks of receiving the interview Letter, I got an email from USTravelDocs stating I should accompany my family to the interview. Now here's the problem, I got no valid passports or PCC. I get there and they ask me to reschedule after I get my documents (which will be around June).

Now, I'm also studying in college and I'm not expected to graduate till July next year.

Is there any set time limit in which I HAVE to schedule my interview? OR, will I be able to schedule it around the end of the year or early next year so I can graduate?

Cheers.

It looks like without any effort on your part, your parents or the Petitioner, the Universe smiled on you and you may have CESPA protection from aging out. ANY delay on ur part WILL RISK losing it. Too bad u did not go prepared w passport and documentation to the first interview …but NOW you should move heaven and earth to get ur passport and another interview BEFORE June !

Get your immigrant visa APPROVED, then you will have TIME to actually leave. And if you need to go back , then once you make your first entry to the US, paid your green card fee..you can go back to India for any unfinished issues.

Sure looks that way. This is one of the options which I have not ruled out. If situation comes to it, this is probably the safest option of the bunch.

The document issue was unavoidable and not in my hands at all but it would've smoothened things out quite a bit :).

Thanks for the response btws

@Snens My priority date is March 2005. I am done with my NVC process & waiting for Mumbai consulate to schedule my interview. When did your parents had interview at Mumbai consulate & how long have you waited after your case has been closed by NVC? Thanks
