K1 ready in Mumbai- what are next steps?

Hi- we are at ready status at Mumbai consulate for past few days but aren’t sure of next steps.  We filed the DS160 and paid the fee.  We wanted to schedule the medical but we’re told we need an appointment letter.  Do we need to set interview first?  
are we waiting for a package at beneficiary’s house?  
many help on next steps would be appreciated.  Thank you
