FRC - I130 - Spouse of a US Citizen

What does it mean when an i130 - petition for Alien Relative is pending, and it is currently at "one of the FRC locations, and the adjudication of the form I130 is delayed pending receipt of the A-file"

Federal Records Center has record of A-file for the immigrant and  the office has sent for it 

case is pending (on Hold) till the A-file gets there

no one can guess how long it will take to review the A-file after the office gets it and the case will be on hold till an officer actually reads the enclosed info and imputs it into computer with the petition

my case has been with the uscis since 2019 and still no update, 😪

Things some people have tried that have caused FRC to move faster.  
 

1. file an FOIA request.  This will force FRC to prioritize your file retrieval.  The risk is that FOIA processing takes priority over USCIS.  So while your file will be out of the limestone cave, it won’t be in the hands of the IO assigned to your case until FOIA is done. 
 

2. The email addresses and phone numbers of each FRC are paired online.  https://www.archives.gov/frc/directors You can email and/or call each one. The responsible director might take pity on you.
