LOC/Blue notice on my passport

Hello,

I got 2nd married to US citizen and i got divorce from my previous marriage in india. My ex-wife filed 498-a and due to that i got blue corner notice and LOC issued.

Now cases are closed in india but i don't know abt LOC and blue notice status. Will it impact my IR1 process? I want to apply for GC next month.

Look out circular (LOC) is a circular letter used by authorities to check whether a traveling person is wanted by the police. It may be used at immigration checks at international borders (like International airports or sea ports). In India, LOC has a given proforma^[1] which have identification parameters of criminals and help police to catch absconding criminals and stopping them from crossing borders.

Now the case was closed in india. This will impact my GC process?

if the passport does  not show as cleared ,  it can slow the already slow process down - a lot since India does not have good record keeping and is slow to respond to US immigration inquires

would help if u had court papers to show case closed

Yes.  Your criminal history will be taken into consideration for any visa application.
