We have interview in 5 days. Had medical and indicated we have applied for Religious Exemption. The Examiner is clueless on how to complete the I-693 form for the waiver. He said he will send to Embassy via email after discussing with them. He said it was the first time he has confronted a waiver. I said I understand but it is his responsibility. He try to save face. BS

Waiver is only submitted after visa is refused.

You do not give it to the medical examiner.

You understood wrong.  The doctor is not responsible for anything but the examination part of the process.

He will note that the forms are incomplete because you have refused the vaccines.  Beyond that, the consulate takes over.

No the I-601 was completed and mailed to the US. The examiner is to complete his form and indicate we refused and check the waiver box but he did not complete.

What documentation did you send? Did you apply with your USCIS number?

Well... I would be interested in hearing the outcome after interview. When did you file the waiver?

Did you file online or mail in your application?

I'm interested in what you wrote down for Part One: Other Information.  (p. 2 Items 15-19).

Just to clarify.

You've already filed the waiver and paid $930?

Or you completed the forms and tried to submit them at the medical?

I think you’ve misunderstood the process.   Good luck.

If you gave those to the physician, that was your error.

Thank you for your clarification. I agree with you on Medical Examiners look of surprise and confusion..he never checked that box in all his time in practice. It’s rare AND COVID-19 exemption is a FIRST for all.

You , Sir, are the first I’ve come across  on VJ , to HAVE the I-601 Ready and filed in advance. Excellent preparation to take copy of it w you.
Filing in advance for Medical Waivers is not a “ finding by DOS”, so they will NOT reject your filing.

But no public information seems to be available for how long it takes. Please ask the officer.

Please share and post your experience.
What you filed , statement, and what religion..anything you want..so it may answer questions for others.
