We have stopped using our former lawyer and hired a new one to represent us. New  Lawyer filled out form G-28 and we signed. Form was submitted on March 3, 2022. One week later former attorney was still listed as our attorney. One month later former attorney is still listed as our attorney despite 3 requests toNVC to remove former lawyer and add the new one.
Why is it taking so long for NVC to make the change  ?
Will the submission of form G-28  hold up our case  another 3 months?

One month is a very short time for NVC to do anything.  A new G-28 should have no effect on the processing time for your case.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Where did you submit the G-28 form?  If your case is at NVC stage, did you use NVC's public inquiry form?  If so, based on the published timeframe, you still have around a month more to wait for changes to take effect.  From https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html -- "Current Public Inquiry Form response time: As of 28-MAR-2022, we are responding to inquiries received on 7-FEB-2022."
