Quick question: what exactly happens after biometrics? I mean, do they start looking at the case?
If we do have an interview, does it go from the processing center to the field office immediately after they determine we need an interview? So in that case, I should go by the processing times of the field office rather than the processing center?

I don't think the biometrics notice speeds up the process at all.  We sent our packet 12/2/21, and got the "Fingerprints were taken" biometrics reuse notice by 12/29/21.  Still expecting it to take two years.

Just being a realist.

Also, I guess we don't feel the urgency, since husband has his GC extension and not having a ten year GC doesn't impact anything tangible.

Interesting. Is there any referable data that confirms this?

There is a group on facebook called ROC I-751.  Almost all the people that applied for ROC in the mid to later part of 2021 are getting their ROC's approved & 10 yr GC in the mail.  Most of them where people that got their CR-1's through Adjust of Status either overstaying their tourist visa, then marrying or K1 to adjustment of status while the rest of the group who did it through the Embassy/consulate oversea's is reaching CrazyCat levels of wait times.  There are people in that group that are just barely getting their ROC's approved that applied for ROC's in 2018/2019.  Its not fair that all of us that did it through the CR-1 through embassy have to wait longer.
