Status update "We have taken an action on your case"

Two days ago my status updated to "Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken".

Now, I just received an email from USCIS saying that they have taken an action on my case. However, when I log in online, there is no change in status. I’ve seen this happen before to other people, but I’m wondering if they saw a change after some days, or if it is just a delayed status update.

Same happened with me. I applied for N-400 yesterday. And today I received 2 emails with "We have taken an action on your case". And nothing is changed on both accounts.

I-751 is still on "Ready to schedule Interview" status.

Hoping for some good news.

poor data / updating the progress of our petitions has never been  a priority of immigration

they need a good program that auto updates the notices and progress when status changes

they could tie that in with the new premium processing so it alerts the office or officer that they need to get on the ball with a petition that has paid for faster processing / like the tickle system in an attorney's office

Could be a lag in the system,  definitely not uncommon. Many people get that email without any updates whatsoever, at least you got something a couple of days ago. 😄

I had that email sent to me once but that was for my N-400. My status didn't change, but turned out there was a letter uploaded in my online account.

It could very well be a glitch, but still make sure to keep checking under "documents" in your online account. Many of us N-400 filers received the "taken an action" emails without a status change, but turned out we had a letter waiting for us in our online accunts under "documents".

Well then let’s double down on the heart break.

No  approval for you since you didn’t have an I-485 interview.

If they are really already working on it, what would be a miracle, and a huge boon to their timeline metrics.
