Entering US - Docs?

Hi All,

I'm flying to the US next week, entering for the first time on an IR1 visa.

Do I need to present any documents, or keep hold of anything, from my application?

Examples are NOA1, NOA2, financial documents taken to the interview at the embassy, DS260 receipt, immigrant fee receipt email?

For info, my documents have all been sent electronically, so I don't have the 'Do not open' envelope, just want to make sure I'm not going to mess up by arriving with just my passport to hand!

Cheers

You don't need any of it in hand for POE but….
It is recommended that you retain copies of ALL documentation with USCIS as you never know what is ahead .. some of it will be required if you apply for naturalization in the future   I had it both hard copy and digital .. now just digital but I've compketed naturalization so the possible need is very low

Also bring several originals of birth / marriage / previous marriage and duvorce certifucates etc as they are way easier to obtain from the relevant authority while you are still there

Bring documentation of your COVID vaccination

Does anyone know how long CBP interview takes when arriving for the first time on a greencard?

Obviously know the line itself can range but the actual speaking to an officer?

Thanks

It took under 5 minutes for me - spent longer queuing for the immigration desks
