Hi all ,

After having 4 weeks of interview  ,status moved from ready(interview) - refused (221g)  to Ready (after 4 weeks of interview) .

Any one move to refused to ready then issue ? And how long it took ?

Wording of 2nd stage ready status very confusing

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date.....

There aren’t dozens of specific things they have in the status list. So “Ready” is like being in neutral. After the 221(g), going to ready means the refused part has been cleared. So you sit in neutral and wait for the next bit.  Almost everybody goes to AP before Issued. It can mean paper shuffling preparing for the next step or a deeper security review if you were born in or have ties to a country associated with terrorism. Or it can mean you have special scientific or  technical skills that need further checking out. AP can last 2 hours, 2days, 2 months….

It could be so fast you missed it before it changed to Issued. Everybody will be different so it’s a wait and see thing.

You’re not going to benefit from checking every five minutes.  Your challenge for the day is see if you can go 24 hours between checks. 😝 Is there anything else you can spend time on?  Pack, fill out the P85, figure out how you can move money over, visit friends and family….

Be assured that after the interview, the status remains at ready unless there’s something else to put in like a 221g hold up waiting on the medical as n your case.

The programmers need to add a new phrase like “Interview done and waiting” 😂

Mine was refused on Friday at interview221g pending medical results but my Ceac page hasn’t been changed to refused at all.
Hoping the works still being done in the background and they are just prioritizing that over updating the website.

after interview on last Friday remains refuse but case update date changes 3 times

Did you have medical in time or refused because of that? Seems strange they have been updating yours but haven’t done anything to mine and we had interview on same day.

status gone the AP and i don't know why its saying it will take several week to

Wuzopo explains AP a bit further up in this thread as not that much of a big deal that everyone gets before issued so shouldn’t be that bad.

Yes i am hoping it will change to issue today

It’s annoying me then that mine seems to be not moving at all and we had same date interview. They never even changed mine to refused. When you say the update date is changing, where do I see that? Do they send you an email to notify you?

Oh! I didn’t know about this page at all. I only have been using the one where I uploaded my documents.
