Got our NOA1 on April 15 from CSC and have regularly checked online case status and have not seen any activity. Should'nt we have seen atleast some touches by now? I am expecting the NOA2 around end of this month is that reasonable?

Also if they were going to issue an RFE would we have gotten it by now?

Patiently waiting in Tucson,

Thanks!

You're in good company. Check out this topic for April filers.

Most of us are still waiting and many, (myself included) haven't received any touches yet.

Generally the touches come just at the end of your waiting period. They will come in a flurry and then the NOA2 is mailed out with an email notification if you signed up for email notice. Now, that being said, understand that the USCIS staff does not always update the case file. Hang in there a little longer. Once activity starts you can get excited and watch for the actions.

You are most likely right on schedule. Most cases take about three months and if you filed in April, then July is within that time span. If you should get an RFE (request for evidence) then respond as quickly as possible. From this point forward, time is of the essence.

Good luck, your journey is nearing its ultimate goal.

Not necessarily. I filed at CSC on 1-22-2007 and wasn't "touched" till the day before it was approved, 4-24-2007. The only way for you to get an RFE is when they look at your file and find somethng missing, hence, when they look at it, it will have been touched. By most timelines, mine included, you should be getting your approval any day now but that's never etched in stone. The fun part is when you finally get your NOA2 things move pretty quickly. We went from NOA2 to the visa approval in only 2 1/2 months total. We had our interview in Bangkok on July 9th and were approved. It's actually a fun process when it's over. When your going through it and deal with the government agency it can be a little trying. I have to say though that everyone I dealt with throughout the whole process was very nice and helpful. Maybe I'm just lucky. Good luck. Ken and Mintra
