In the "be thankful for little crumbs of happiness" department, it's good that the White House staff at least attempts to walk back these comments from a senile president.  What an absolute danger he is to the country, and, by extension, to the world.

Yeah, as lame as it looks, I won't fault anyone for trying to deescalate and go with diplomacy.

 

And from what I've seen the Russian politicians did not seem overly surprised by the comment, but believe me they will use it 100% to their advantage, especially in their homegrown propaganda to show that the US hates Russians and wants to cause instability in Russia, etc. It will just fuel the fire of the hatred of NATO and skepticism towards the US that was already there. So, oddly enough, Biden just made the job for Russia's propagandists a bit easier, all they need to do is play a clip of him actually speaking.

They might also conclude, "Here at last is someone with fewer functioning brain cells than Alexandria Occasional-Cortex has!"  More seriously, the weakness conveyed by an obviously impaired president will encourage both propagandists and warriors.

I really doubt it.  To get Joe back, Putin and his team should suggest there is a need for a regime change in the US due to Old Joe's cognitive decline.

Apparently Joe's recent comments and his lack of memory of said comments can be blamed on the fact that he is Irish.

Finally a President who isn’t afraid to let people know where he stands. He tells it like it is. No need to be politically correct or be afraid to tell the truth. Greatest President in my lifetime.
