So who are we to believe, what Joe said which seems to have been spread through the media, or the clarification by un named minder? 

 

I have seen quite a few comments that he did not mean what he said so why say it?

Since the election the White House has been very busy walking back so many of Joe's statements.

The statement was quickly met with indignation from the Kremlin, who said in turn that "a state leader should keep their temper."
