Good Morning. Yes. I've changed my name. I always wanted to be only Nessa so people would stop confusing me with hubby and yes we're still married and madly in love.

*02/27/08: Permanent Resident Card received

We are off to Arts Fest this lovely warm Saturday. Apart from that nothing much. Have a nice day!

September 15 - 2005: NOA1

October: Waiting

November: Waiting

December: In Security checks

January 2006: Waiting

February: Waiting..Contacted Congress

March 4th: APPROVED

March 17th: NVC posted file to London

March 20th: London Receives file

March 29th: Receive package 3

April 13th: London Receives package

April 19th: Medical - June 13th: INTERVIEW......APPROVED!!!!

June 20th: ARRIVE IN USA

Time taken for whole process 9 Months

October: 13th: Sent off AOS Package

November 3rd: NOA1

November 14th: Snail mail ~ NOA1 ~ Case moved to the CSC for faster processing.

November 14th : CSC has petition for me and my daughter.

December 14th: Biometrics completed.

January 17th: APPROVED AOS!

January 22nd: Green card arrives in the mail:))

Time taken for AOS - 3.5 Months

Finished for 2 years.

02/09/09 : NOA received

02/21/09 : biometrics letter received

03/07/09 : biometrics appointment

03/09/09 : touched

03/10/09 : touched

06/16/09 : APROVVVVVEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!! letter from USCIS received

06/30/09 : Greencard received!!! NO MISTAKES!!!

04/12/2010 : N-400 package sent...fingers crossed for a fast approval.....

06/07/2010 : Biometrics in Orlando

08/09/2010: Citizenship interview - PASSED!!!!

08/13/2010 : OATH Ceremony - Finally a US citizen and DONE with USCIS!!!!

I'm up...been up since about 6:15. I never let my husband leave for work without walking him to the door and kissing him farewell.

Let's see....coffee, breakfast (waffles I suppose), then whatever comes my way. Maybe some HGTV or DIY. Or Food Network. Disney at some point when our daughter wakes up. Meh, gonna be hot and humid so I guess I'll stay indoors. The humidity plays havoc with my asthma.

Name change is good Nessa. :)

I used to do that too Karen, wake up early, prepare hubby's sandwiches, but it didn't last long, because staying up since 6am while he's at work having absolutely nothing to do (no driver's license, no EAD to work, no friends, nothing), I started trying to sleep as late as I could so the day would be shorter. I just couldn't do that for 7 months.

Call me selfish, but those were really bad days. Now I adjusted my time at work so we can both wake up at the same time. Of course, he wakes up, brush his teeth, grooms himself and leave to work, all that in 20 min. I need 1 hour to do every thing and the leave to work and I'm always early at work so I can get a great parking place. So even though we wake up at the same time, he starts working 1 hour before me :P

That's not selfish Nessa. I have the summers off so I know somewhat how you felt. Other than doing housework. Gawd, there's only so much to be done and then there's the rest of the day to deal with. Still, I'm trying to keep in the mode of getting up at my regular work time so I won't have a hard time when school starts back - which is August 7 for me, August 9 for my students. GAH! It will be here way too soon!

Takes me about that long to get myself dressed and ready to go, not to mention getting our daughter up and going...a major accomplishment most days. Takes my husband all of 10 minutes. Sheesh.

Wish we had some rain. *sigh* We're in serious drought conditions here.
