Kyiv to Frankfurt - What embassy shows in your NVC portal?

Has anyone received their NVC case number and Invoice number after March 2nd? My case number (assigned March 21) begins with KEV and the embassy shown is Kyiv. I understand we will be working with Frankfurt, but I'm curious whether other people are getting Frankfurt as their consulate in the portal or Kyiv?

Well, I got my answer today. My wife's case number was issued by the State Department today and she was assigned to Frankfurt. Yes, the all knowing State Department assigned the mother to Frankfurt and the daughter to Kyiv. Who the hell votes to give these people more power???

Supposedly....we do. Democracy and all. Why they can't do their jobs properly is anyone's guess.

Just be glad you're getting closer and closer every day to the end of this. USCIS is at least a bit better to deal with than DoS. Does it matter which letters the case number starts with? Maybe you can schedule both at Frankfurt anyway? I wish I could be of more help but I've never dealt with NVC before.

I have already emailed them a request to joint the cases. I don't know why that isn't automatically done either. NVC has made a better impression so far than USCIS though. The process has move much faster than the pinned post here said it would.

That's great to hear. I also don't get why it isn't automatic, it's bizarre. Must be some manual input, only way to explain it is human error.

@texastincup My wife (also Ukrainian) and I are also at the NVC stage. We're on hold (phone) to the NVC at moment of typing this message. Have they reviewed the documents you uploaded yet? Wondering whether the NVC will expedite for Ukrainian cases. Any comments appreciated. Cheers - EDIT: To answer the original question, we were given a Kyiv Case ID and interview location, for whatever reason.

This is probably better for its own thread (the mods will surely make one new for it), but you do not want to be transferred to Poland, non-resident interview queue is delayed until December for K1 and it's likely your stepchild's will be around there, too. Medical is delayed all over, unfortunately, but it appears as if you can do it in countries outside Germany (perhaps Romania/Bulgaria? not sure if anyone's tried those).

Where is he now? If he's still in Ukraine can he leave or must he stay for the military?
