Hey VJ community!

I'm looking for any and all information related to setting up a new life in the US for a family members who just immigrated.

My retired parent is looking to immigrate to New Jersey and here's the info of interest:

1. Social Connections. Recommendations on rebuilding you connections from the ground up. First thing that comes to mind is language class in a local library. Anything else?

2. Housing. Are there any programs that new immigrants can qualify for? Affordable housing?

3. Medical Insurance. Have you purchased coverage for your immigrant retired relative? Please share some thoughts.

Any other relevant information would be greatly appreciated.
