I140 approved, changed employer

I have PD of June 2016 and have changed employer in March 2022. Since the dates are moving too fast I have following queries
 
1. What if I am not able to get my PERM approved and my PD becomes current. Will I have to leave the country? 
How late I can file I485 if i miss my PD (assuming PERM or PWD is pending)
 
2, Can I get my H1B  extended using I-140 from my previous employer until i get i-140 approved using my current employer ?
