K1 do not sign in to the CEAC portal because K1 do not need to submit documents to NVC.  All you need with CEAC is the case status check, which is here -- https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

You do need the NVC case number (ie. DOS case ID).  For that, you need to wait for an email from NVC, or call the NVC hotline number to ask for it.  It may take a week or so after petition approval for the case to be transferred to NVC, so I recommend you hold off on contacting NVC until after a week has passed.

Makes sense. Will wait a week before contacting NVC. Thanks!

I'm an I-130 so I don't think I'll be much help.

Wife approved 3/4. Sent to NVC 3/11. No email or mail received as of 3/20.

Daughter (PSC) approved 3/16. Sent to NVC 3/20. Two emails received 3/21: "Greetings from NVC" and "Notice of Immigrant Case Creation"

The case number begins with KEV but I understand they will be routed to Frankfurt automatically. I can't help with your question but maybe this info helps.

Are you saying that for the daughter’s case, NVC contacted by email and not mail? If so, did that contact your email or the daughter? Thanks

For my fiance visa got approved on 3/18 and it has been 11 days today and so far haven't received an email. I tried to call but the wait was too long 1.30hrs so I hung up. Don't know if NVC received the petition or not.  Can you tell me as what was the email domain (i.e @nvc.gov @nationalvisacenter.gov or @dhs.gov etc) you got the emails from? Thanks.

Same for me, haven’t heard anything yet. Maybe we’ll have to wait another week.

(I remember seeing sth among the lines of “wait at least 15 days to contact NVC” mentioned on the forum so maybe our stuff will be processed soon)

"Greetings from NVC:" email comes from NVC-do-not-reply@state.gov. This email tells you tips on submitting document. I've received several for the same case.

"Notice of Immigrant Visa Case Creation" email comes from National_Visa_Center@state.gov. This has your Case # and Invoice ID number.

Texas SC - Wife's I-130 was sent to NVC on 3/4/22 and I received the two emails above on 3/23/2022. 19 days - Another exact copy of the "Greetings" email on 3/28/2022

Potomac SC - Daughter's I-130 was sent to NVC on 3/16/22 and I received her two emails on 3/21/2022. 5 days - Another exact copy of the "Greetings" email on 3/26/2022

Thanks much for the detail. I think our cases are different so the communication might be different too I guess.
