Part 14 of I-485

Hi everyone,

 

1. What do you write in the “item number” box? I can’t seem to figure out. For example, I want to add an additional address in the history section, but there’s no specific item number to refer to (I have filled out the spaces for employment history on page 4). Can I leave the item number box blank? 

 

Page number: 4

Part number: 2

item number: (blank)

We had the same issue and put "Addr Hist" as the item number to make it clear(ish) what we're referring to. Been scheduled for an interview now and received no RFEs for anything so I presume that's an acceptable way of doing it

Did you include any additional information for any other sections? For example, what if I want to say something about employment history #4 (that I filled out on page 4)?

I didn't include anything else - I've only ever worked at the same company, but in turn moved 5 times in the last 5 years 😅. If you have anything else to include I would go down a similar way of abbreviating it.

 

Can't remember how many letters the form allows electronically, but for employment history Work Hist or WorkHist might fit? Additionally, you could also write out the entire title of the section you are referring to on the first line right below the item number perhaps just to make it entirely obvious I guess
