NVC Number

I did not wait for my NVC case number, I already filed my DS-160 and started the 

process to get an interview. My Fiance just need to pay the fees. 

Am I going ahead of things? Or what I am doing is fine? Should I wait to get my NVC number before anything else?

Please let me know.

You just got your NOA2 on March 17. It takes about a month for the case to be transferred from USCIS to NVC. You don’t even have your NVC case number yet because your petition is not the at NVC yet. Call NVC in a month and ask for your case number. After that it’ll be at the NVC until the consulate requests your case to be transferred. This could take anywhere from a month to several months/year depending on backlog at the particular consulate.

I understand. So just stop everything right now. Like i said I completed my DS-160 already. Would I have to complete a new one after I get my NVC case number? 
 

2. i already started the set up for the visa interview. Post pone that also?

No. You need it to pay the fee. If it’s been many months, consulate may request a new DS-160 to be filled out

Of course. No petition at consulate = no interview
