Yes , you are right . They probably didn’t even face the burden of proving the Beneficiaries Bread will continue from same source in the US. Officers have powers to approve.

I was following DCF for a long time... several people in my circle qualified and I was gutted when I discovered it was going away in 2019... (but I still know several people who qualified) one even moved back to the US in 2021!

DCF was extremely generous...

No worries, OP will need to send that in.  What they will need to collect are the things on the list that demonstrate intent to return:  Voter registration, drivers license, transfer assets (US bank account) etc because the CO’s carefully comb through that stuff.

USC does not have voter registration or a valid driving licence.

only recently purchased properties (2)

and paid taxes.

USC has been living outside USA for 13 years and only visit home every few years (hasn’t been in America since 2018)

our kids has their Social security numbers and savings accounts in US banks.

also USC has retirement accounts and 401k and investments in stocks (not sure if it matters) just listing things that I think it might be helpful in our case.

we are planning to move back to USA once I get my visa but haven’t made any solid plans to return and which schools we will enrol our kids in because we simply do not know when I will get this visa,it seems like it’s taking a long time or we are just being impatient.

Did the things I listed above has any weight to approve our application? Or he needs to make a trip to USA to get those documents (driver licence and voter registration?

I'm talking about way back when... I have a friend who went through DCF. He was from the UK his wife was American. She didn't use a joint sponsor. They didn't  have savings.... They didn't live together and still managed to get the IR1 in 3 months... The year? 2015... (USC was not military)

Oof Even 2011 I had to lay 6 figures in banked cash on the affidavit or we weren’t going anywhere.  The same guidelines were applied to us in 2018.  No different today than it was then.  Foreign income imputed at (zero), 3X 125% poverty minimum in (highly liquid) assets.  My “household size” was SIX lol

So I had everything (bank, credit cards, cars, insurance, license, 401k, etc) addressed to my parents when we were out 2009-2012 and to my brother’s house 2014-2018.

We had no idea where we would live or where the kids would go to school at interview time and I told them that.
So:  Moving assets to and holding assets in the US seemed in our case to be enough.  Buying property is certainly more than we had.  My call is that you are probably going to be fine.

Retirement accounts, stocks, all the assets you can list are going to be critical to submit with the support affidavit.  In 2018 it was 7 figures and the CO was still “hmmmm I dunno…..” household size reduced to (4) because my kiddos in the US were grown by then.

Make sure they’re all parked in the US.  I think the guidelines tightened 2016-2020 for political reasons but they may have relaxed them now.
