any chance she is from Fes or the northern part of Morocco?

our vj member whose wife was from Fes went thru 11 months of AP because of the area arrests there for terrorist activity

but she got her visa and is here now

AP is specific to the person, not the area they come from.

Security checks are pretty good and pretty quick in Morocco

it was area specific in that case as told to the USC by embassy

there had been large raids confiscating numerous guns and chemical weapons

and they were putting everyone from Fes in long AP (even the women)

this was back in 2017 but the problem still exists

This case is very simple and has to do with the review of the document the OP submitted after the interview.

The delay is only due to the workload of the consulate processing already delayed DV lottery cases starting in March.

Let's only deal with facts and stay away from speculations.

Thank you! I appreciate you encouraging people to stay optimistic. I don’t know why I have to worry about criminal background check. My wife has nothing to do with that. All what she has been asked for is here previous marriage certificate. I don’t understand why some people like to freak others out. Thank you again and best luck to everyone!

As I mentioned before, the delay in the Casablanca consulate is due to priority being given to the DV lottery cases.

Physicians confirmed this to me this morning as all available appointments right now are from late May to Mid June.

We are having a hard time booking a medical before the interview and might end up being in the on-call list if there are any cancelations.

just keep the interview appointment in May even if the medical can not be scheduled ahead

You’ve done all you can do at this point, as long as you turned in what was asked for you should be fine. Just keep checking and try not to let it worry you.

Hey,

the status changed from refused to administrative processing today. Do you know by chance how long it took the other couple to get their visas approved ? Thank you!

The last member here in VJ that got an IR1/CR1 from Casablanca, said it took 5 days to pick up the passport.

The CO told them it will be ready in two weeks, but it was ready in 5 days

Not exactly, they were approved at the interview.

AP status (for your case) means they are finalizing the process and issuing the visa. They would have kept it under Refused if they had any other issues with it.

It will change to Issued by tomorrow or Monday in chaa Allah
