Receipt notification question

Hi everyone,

We sent in my husband's I-751 on March 7th with receipt confirmation and it shows it was received on March 9th but we haven't gotten any notification.

What form did y'all fill to get text notifications?

What should do we expect, an email or a letter?

If you sent form G-1145 with the package, you will receive a text/email when they have accepted the case, this is usually a couple of weeks faster than getting the letter in the mailbox. If you didn't send this form you will have to wait for the snail mail to know if you petition was accepted.

 

For snail mail you need to give them 30 days before you start inquiring. Within those 30 days you very likely have either received the acceptance letter OR the package back in your mailbox.

Yes, we sent in the G-1145 but haven't gotten an email or text. Should we be worried?

We did the same in October 2021 and we don’t get any emails or SMS.  It’s a pity but it doesn’t change anything.

Thanks for saying this. I have been wondering what we did wrong. How long did it take for you to get a response back?
