Ready after interview

I had an interview for my immigrant visa, everything went well and they took my passport. It has been three months and my status still shows ready.

I had a tourist visa and the officer said it will be cancelled before an immigrant visa can be issued. Is this why my passport is delayed?

Does it take much time to cancel an active B1/B2 visa and replace it with another visa?

A B2 visa can be canceled within a minute or so.  It sounds like you are in administrative processing.  What is the CEAC status?

Sounds like you are in administrative processing, meaning they do not yet have enough info to make a decision to approve or deny.
