I am still waiting for the AP to arrive.   The EAD was received just over two weeks ago.

Just received EAD, and waiting for AP. EAD has words "not for re-entry". Looks like we're in the same boat of not receiving combo EAD/AP card.

 

Can we ask/apply for combo EAD/AP card after we received EAD and AP separately? Or not worth the hassle and additional wait time to officially get a combo card?

 

Thought we ask since It seems more convenient to carry around 1 item instead of 2 items while traveling.

I called the USCIS and they told me that the AP should come in 'the next few weeks' after the EAD is approved... I want to have faith...

Notified via the Lawfully app and then checked my USCIS account. 

 

@SAB6 Apologies, I missed your question last month - Yes, I expedited via a congressperson using a job offer and letter of financial loss to myself and the company.

Yes, end of July.

 

And no, but I received my GC a week ago 😅 AP never moved for me until it was closed last week.

I submitted my I-485 in concurrence with I-130, I-765 and I-131 September 01. It went pretty fast at first with a receipt after two days and biometrics a few weeks after sending. Then, I received my work permission for I-765 around February 15. Still waiting for the travel parole. It seems that it now takes between 9 and 15 months at the National Benefits Center. The USCIS website mentions that 80% of applicants receive their travel parole in 9 months for the past 6 months. Nothing yet on my side. Anyone filled with the National Benefit Center in the fall with whom I could compare timing? I think they looked at my petition right after they switched from the combo card to the work permit priority.

My EAD was approved yesterday , but not my AP , anyone else have the same issue ?

A lot of people do. USCIS announced a short while ago that they’re decoupling EADs and APs.

I don’t know that information, best bet would be to see the processing times for I-131 on USCIS

Anecdotally, I haven't seen any standalone APs approved for AOS since decoupling that weren't expedited. I'd be interested to be told different, but it looks like USCIS are doing EAD, then just not doing AP and waiting for GC approval.
