My Mom's IV file is pending with NVC. Her details relevant to my questions are follows;

Foreign State of Chargeability: India

Citizenship: Pakistan

Residency  : Bahrain

Current Address: Canada. She is visiting her son (myself) in Canada. The Canadian address has been on her DS260 application.

My question is would she  be interviewed in Canada or in Bahrain.

Invoice ID's first 3 letters are IVS

That is not a known embassy/consulate.  Are you sure you are not confusing it with IV fee?

Montreal would be MTL

Pakistan would be ISL

India would be BMB (I believe, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Bahrain would be MNA

Hi Steve. Yes the first 3 letters of NVC Case Number are MNA. So apparently she will be interviewed in Bahrain.

Do you think there is any chance of she being interview in Canada, should I request NVC. Or the interview only happens in the country of residence/citizenship.

I have searched online regarding changing the interview location. Generally, it is not recommended to change the visa embassy country. Therefore, I think it is advisable for my Mom to go back to Bahrain as and when the interview is scheduled.
