Is our I-129F package too big?

We have a lot of evidence of us meeting in person and of a ongoing relationship. When put together it makes a huge package. I am wondering if it is too big? It is about 3/4 of an inch thick. Do any of you guys think this is excessive? I was thinking it might agitate the agent reviewing it. I just want to nip any problems in the bud before they occur.

Ongoing relationship evidence is optional

YMMV

Same some evidence for interview unless you will have more by then. You won't get your pictures back, so you may wanna hold on to some of them unless you have doubles or have them on a disk

Keep in mind that you only need to prove that the two of you have met within the past 2 years. Submitting evidence for an ongoing relationship will be considered towards that and you're not going to get it returned from USCIS - I'd suggest saving most of it for the interview as that will be assessed more seriously at the consulate.

Our package was a serious boon on the rainforest in total, probably not far off yours.

We'd been together years so we had a lot of evidence stretched out for the timespan. We'd been together about 3 years, so we sent about 7 photos in, one for each visit, that helped back up the evidence that we visitied each other frequently. We attacked it from that kind of angle, a couple of pieces of evidence for each stay and a screen dump of our email inboxes and phone records to show that we were dead keen on each other inbetween visists!

When I had my interview, I made a joke about "sorry for having to lug that around" (a copy of our case file) and the interviewer said "haha, you'd be surprised at how big these things can get"

To be honest, we **sailed** through. I mushmouthed my inteview but the evidence we were a legitimate couple that had been for sometime was overwhelming.

Ours were around 1/2 an inch, and we did send evidence of ongoing relationship as well, both to create our story to the eyes of the USCIS agent and also to present a complete case, which I think helped, since at the interview I was asked to see my pictures, but the interviewer just opened in one pic, and handed me them right back, and didn't ask for anything else. In fact, the approval paper (the one they give you if you're approved, to fill out and ask for the visa to be sent home) was already on top of my papers when I walked in to be interviewed.

I see nothing wrong with sending a bigger package, as long as it's complete, and it's not exagerated with repetitive evidence, like, you don't need thousands of e-mais, like one for each week or month you've been together, just a few over the time you've been together will let them get the picture.

more is definitely better than too little!

I agree that more evidence is better than too little, but neither do you want to overwhelm them with too much unnecessary stuff that can be used for your interview. :D

i think it depends on the country. i've read a lot here in VJ that they seem to make up their mind before they even give you the interview. so i included some, but not all, on-going evidence of our relationship. i think its better to include some than none at all. maybe other embassies are different but i think its better to include some and they don't look at it than they make their decision on too little info! but i do agree you should save some for the interview.

My folder was about 2 inches thick the more the better the interviewer I think make their decisions before your fiance or fiancee enters the room. Pre judging is human nature and you want their first impression to be wow!! This is a true legitimate relationship. Just make copies of all the evidence you send.
