OK so my worst fears have come true.... I was DQ'd Jan 6, said 'oh $#!%' I need my new passport done now (yes I know I waited too late and we just had so many family things and covid things and other things going on I wanted to keep it with me just in case I had to travel back to the US for an emergency).

My new passport is being created now (changed to married name) and of course the NVC has caught up with their interviews and I received my email this morning (YAY!) however I am concerned about not having my passport back in time for the interview, or the medical examination.

I will be calling Passport Canada to expedite with additional fees as they said this was an option, but what if I still don't have it back for my medical examination? Or worst case my interview?

Can I still attend and they just don't approve my visa until I mail them my passport? (similar to when they are waiting for medical reports)

I don't even know what my new passport # will be.....

Anyone else make this stupid mistake??

Thanks :)
