Hi guys,

My husband came here with spouse visa. We using a co-sponsor and signed that he wouldn't be using any government benefits. I was just wondering If me and my 4 year old son can apply for food stamp since we both us citizen. (Apply for 2 household members instead of 3) I just want to make sure that nothing will have an effect to our co-sponsor. ( My husband already apply for a citizenship, but due to covid the process taking much longer.)

Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

Not an issue with regard to the affidavit of support.

Thank you so much!!! I thought I would show household income of 3 (Included my husband) but receive benefit of 2. (With out my husband)

I'll try WIC.

Thank you so much for your answer!!!

In that case I could show household income of 3 (Included my husband) but receive benefit of 2. (With out my husband)?

I just don't know whom to ask since the officer said that I could apply for my husband too after I explain the whole situation.

I just want to make sure that our co-sponsor not gonna have an effect from my action.

I can't advise you on how to actually apply for a government benefit.  Just saying it's not a problem for you and your son to receive the benefit you decribed.
