Hey guys,

i was about to fill my n-400 form online. I thought you submit all Proofs as well online. But i see the required documents to go with the n-400 form are just your PR card and marriage certificate. The rest( proofs, taxes etc) needs to be brought on the interview.  Is that right ?

As you go through the online form it will ask for you to upload things in different sections (like tax document, relationship proof and stuff depending on how you fill out the form) It should be fairly at the end if I remember correctly.

If you are applying under 5 yr rule yeah. I applied for 5 yr rule and I was only asked for my green card and marriage certificate. I will bring the other docs at the interview.

If you apply for the 3 years rule, in separate questions they ask for taxes, marriage certificate, spouse proof of US citizenship, proof of relationship.

I started my application before the legibility (before 90 days to the 3 years), just so I had everything there and ready before sending. So I put a fake date (for purpose of being able to start filling, then correcting it before sending the petition, of course) as my "date that became a permanent resident" (or however that question was worded). One thing I noticed was, depending on the date, it would show me the option to upload taxes and marriage certificate, but not the spouse proof of US citizenship and proof of relationship.
- When I put a date that was exactly 90 days from the 3 year mark, I could fill, it would recognize my marriage based eligibility, but it would not show me the questions to upload spouse proof of US citizenship and proof of relationship;

- When I put a date that was more than 90 days to the 3 year mark, it would complain that I am not eligible

- When I put a date that was 89 days to the 3 year mark, I would have all the upload options (spouse proof of US citizenship and proof of relationship)

The way they count seems to be inclusive (thus the day you are + 89 days make the 3 year period). So, try again when you are sure you are within that date and see if the options to upload appear.

I already filled and submitted yeterday. And it gave me options for the all other evidence to upload and you are right about how the system picks what we need to submit. 2 weird things. Like although we are still away (within 90days) from our 3 year anniversary but question amount to for example" Everything we have done in 3 years". Another part was when they ask you if any trips have been done in last 5 years which assume are subjected to people applying under 5 year rule so i just said NO on that because i havnt left USA since i  have been here since 2019.

I saw posts from other people leaving it at a NO. Hopefully it doesnt create a problem.
