I did that too.

Took screenshots of my e-tickets from my email and then made a copy of all the pages with the stamps in my passport and his passport as well. 

That proofs we didn't just book those flights but also actually took them haha 😀

While it's OK to send such information, email confirmations of ticket purchases are not evidence of travel.  Combined with actual evidence of travel, like passport stamps and boarding passes, the itinerary information in the email confirmations can be helpful for those attempting to understand the boarding passes and passport stamps.
