Hello everyone, I'm unsure about how the process works with a joint sponsor.

1- Does the joint sponsor printout the final form, sign that in black ink with a pen, and provide the sponsor/applicant with a scanned copy?

2 -Would the visa applicant take a printout of the scanned copy to the interview, or would the joint sponsor mail them the original signed I864 to take along?

3- What evidence documents would be attached or taken along for the interview pertaining to the joint sponsor? Would this be photocopies of their passport and tax transcript?

4- For the last 3 year tax returns, since the joint sponsor hasn't filed for 2021 at this point, is it better to wait till they've filed and include that? Since the whole process will definitely take a couple of weeks or months and the NVS could ask for the recent tax return info.

Please guide me! Thank you.

My joint sponsor filled the I864 on their laptop, printed the final page, signed and scanned, then combined the document again. Simple answer - they can print and fill it all out, or just print to sign the document.

Printout of the scanned copy is fine. At my interview I took all financial documents and they didn't ask for anything as they already had all of the documents on their screen. This was at London, it might be different at other embassy locations.

Again, depends on embassy, I took a passport copy but didn't need anything to do with my joint sponsor.

If you are submitting to the NVC now/soon, I would try to have 2021 transcript available, as in April they can legally request it and it could put you back 3 months with an RFE

Two comments.  2021 transcript is not likely to be available in time but a complete copy of the tax return including all schedules and W2 forms etc. will do nicely.  If you can do that, then have them file before completing the form so it includes 2021.

Supporting documents for a joint sponsor include not only evidence of citizenship but also evidence they live in the USA.  A utility bill or driver license will work for that.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
