Hey guys :-)

my husband and I got married on October 15th last of 2021 in germany. He´s a german citizen and I´m both - german AND american citizen due to my birth in North Carolina back in 2000. (My parents are both german, so that´s why I´ve two passports.)

My husband and I are now researching a ton about moving to North Carolina, USA. It´s always been my dream to live there as an adult and show him everything.

Have any of you guys experience with this specific case? We´d love to talk all about it and get some answers.

Thanks in advance!

Sarah & Leon

Best place to start is reading the Guides.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Not sure how strict Frankfurt is about domicile, you might need to show your (the petitioner’s) intentions to relocate back to the US

Financial support is another topic of research you'll need to do.  As the US citizen you will need to show you can support him, or have a US citizen/LPR as a co-sponsor.

start reading and ask LOTS of questions.  Your situation does not seem unique at all so you will get lots of great advice.

Good luck
