I have got a huge feeling of anxiety and worry about my Vawa case. After over 2 years of waiting, I received an RFE stating that I need to supply more evidence of Extreme Cruelty for my case. USCIS claim that since none of the 3rd party affidavits claim to be witness to any abuse, that they hold little to no weight.

I was never a victim of physical abuse, and all the abuse I suffered was psychological. Abandonment, apathy, and constant substance abuse by my ex wife. I attended therapy sessions for months after the breakdown of my marriage. This happened behind closed doors, in which I had to battle these demons internally; alone in my own head, thinking how the woman i love could treat my like this. I have no policr reports, no pictures of psychical injuries. I wrote, in as much detail as I could, about the incidents that have occurred during my marriage. I still suffer to this day with intimacy and self image issues, thinking that I will never be able to overcome these. I have regular thoughts of just giving up on life, thinking that none of this is even worth the continued pain, anxiety and stress that I go through everyday. I am a young, healthy man in the prime of my life. I am just feeling so lost and overwhelmed with this RFE I just received. Just as I thought I was getting my life somewhat back on track, I get a gut shot like this.

I really do not know what I am supposed to do. I just feel so overwhelmed and lost by all of this.

I know but i may not have a choice. I am starting residency soon in the midwest and we don't usually get enough time to travel so i am worried about not being able to get time off to come back for an interview that far away but i hear you, i don't want to touch anything about this application at this point. right now, i intend to leave it as is and figure out the rest later.

wow. i literally got my 360 notice at 8am and 485 transfer update at 8.01am. hopefully you hear back soon

That is correct. Literally came 1 minute after. Not sure where it was sent though at this point because the email just said another office.

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Receipt Number: EA*****

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On May 17, 2022, we transferred your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS, Receipt Number EAC***, to another office for processing and sent you a transfer notice.

Thanks so much for this clarification.

You will surely receive the transfer notice they sent with the location in it.

Kindly keep us informed.

I did saw an update on my I-485 online case status, but never a transfer notice to my local office or to NBC

So I contacted my congressman for case inquiry. But on my view, it seems that my form I-485 is still in Vermont because that is the Service Center they contacted on my behalf.

Still waiting for their answer and the outcome of it.

I also noticed that, when I submitted a service request out of normal processing time online, it went but to Vermont because the service was registered as SR11.......3VSC and not as SR11.......3MSC as usual.

the thought of experienced people on this forum.!!??🤔🤔🤔

Did you submit a psychological evaluation? You can submit another evaluation from the sessions you've been attending, the attorney will know what's best for his case.

I didn't submit a psychological evaluation. I was attending therapy sessions and got a letter from my therapist. Due to the pandemic, I moved states and so I was unable to continue my sessions. With the cost of my divorce, lawyer fees and with the pandemic affecting my job (hospitality) I was unable to afford private therapy sessions over the last 18 months. I am very fortunate that I have a close group of friends who I can lean on when I get overwhelmed.

I will definitely look into obtaining some more professional help and a professional psychological evaluation after this, as I honestly don't know how I can continue to cope. It feels as if my whole world has been pulled out from under me with one letter from USCIS

Hi team, I make enquiry about the status of my i485 and a ticket was created for me that read SR110000000000NEW, does this mean my case file has been sent to Newark?

Yes I guess so.

Is Newark your local office?

I was thinking that my I-485 was already transferred from Vermont to NBC or my to my local office after my vawa approval last month.

But when I submitted my service request my ticket was still SR11.......3VSC  and not  SR11.......3MSC

That is what I thought too. The last time I made the same enquiry it end with VSC but this time around, it end with ...NEW and Newark is my local field office.

In this case, it means that your file has gone back to your local office.

When was the last time you did the SR with the ticket number issued with VSC?

Just wanted to know the average time it's taking for the form I-485 to be transferred from Vermont to the local office nowaday after vawa approval.

Thanks for your reply  .

Hey y’all,

My lawyer forwarded me an RFE for Form I-864W. The RFE instructs me to drop the form off at my local USCIS office. Has anyone received a similar notice? Do I include the RFE with the requested form in the same envelope? Also, do I need to attach my I-360 approval notice to prove that I qualify for form I-864W? Any insights are greatly appreciated.

The first time was January 17th and my I360 was Approved January 4th, the SR end with VSC. The current SR was requested May 13th, the ticket ends with NEW.

I guess it all comes down to what you chose when you filled out the ticket. When you were asked about your local office, NBC would be MSC and Vermont would be VSC

I-864W is an application for Exemption from Affidavit of Support, which is not a requirement for VAWA application. I find this strange that USCIS is asking for it.

When you submit the online service request, you don't have any choices whether  it is VSC, or NBC, or what so ever. You just dialed in your case number and the system automatically generated a ticket number depending of where it detects the exact location of your file.
