Hello everyone

My timeline 2018

nothing changing on my case And I’m getting so sad .

when I filled for Vawa the lawyer charged me 13k I have to pay him every 6 months also every time when I have to renew my work permit he charge me for office fee $600. I’m really tired of him cause I feel he don’t care about my case all the time when I tried to contact him he says he’s busy and can’t talk or he’s gonna call me back or he’s only gonna call me when he have some updates on my case !

I filled for Vawa cause my ex espouse he attacked me punched me in the eye and Kicked my leg brutally and i got pictures and evidence.
Idk why my case are taking to long and my lawyer all the time said I have to wait !!!

I inquired USCIS case out of time and they sent to my lawyer a letter. I’m waiting for the letter

do you guys know what can be this letter any thoughts?
I feel that’s automatically letter cause on 05/11 someone assigned and answer right way at the same day 🥹🥹🥹😭
So sorry guys to share this but I really don’t know what else I can do to make this change !

Summary dissolution = Divorce . It makes no difference to VAWA if it’s regular or summary dissolution or even who filed for divorce. In either type of divorce, date of separation should match reality, not what abuser may be shooting for.

It’s a cheap / fast way to divorce for those who qualify and are in agreement to terms of divorce…getting threats of ICE/ deport don’t make it sound like you are in agreement, rather coerced. ..

The difference between summary dissolution and regular filling for dissolution in CA is explained quite well in this random internet link https://www.korolandvelen.com/blog/2014/september/difference-between-summary-dissolution-and-divor/

Thanks for this info. The threats are subtle but I know her family are "preparing to go to war" if I don't agree to summary dissolution. Have this all recorded in texts. Then again her dad also directly said "I have the ICE report forms filled out and ready to submit" if I didn't leave the USA by the date of my flight a few months ago... now have a 3 yr inadmissibility to deal with as well because I did leave... I was on a work visa prior but stayed in the USA because she was the love of my life and thought she felt the same. Turns out nope. The shift was 180 the day after we got married, still can't believe it happened and all the s**t that went down.

Basically a notice that you did not meet the requirements for Prima Facie Determination. It will tell you to send more documents for whichever check boxes your stuff didn't complete. You can ignore it, if you do they will properly RFE you eventually.

Yea.

Hi Demise, thank you for everything you do 😊. When does one get this PFD denial? I never got it, I've been waiting for a PFD since April 2021.

Apart from the receipts I did get the lifesaving EAD in 7 months and an update of Correspondence received - probably address change (in April).

I love this thread, this is the only place that brings me peace.

Hi everyone!. I have a question… can you go to Vawa's interview when you are still married to the abuser?  I've been trying to get a divorce and he won't sign it.  I know I can get a contested divorce, but I can't afford $3,000 dollars, maybe more.  If anyone has/had the same situation as me, please let me know!

Question for anyone who has traveled on AP before:

What documents am I required to bring with my upon my return to the US? I have my AP document and my passport, but am I required to bring any of my other documents related to either my I-360 or my I-485 (which has been held in abeyance)

Thanks
