Hello all,

My VAWA was approved today.

Filed I-360 in July 2020. Status on I-360 changed to “new card is being produced” yesterday, and today received an update “case was approved”.

While I was waiting for approval I had:

• 2 PFs

• 3 EADs - Category CO9

Hello lovely people,

I filed I-360 along with I-485 and I-765 concurrently 06/21, did biometric month after, received PF  12/21 still waiting on my EAD it’s over 10 months now and filed under C09. Don’t know what to do, my lawyer says I won’t get but y filed C09 and wait so long???

It seems your attorney doesn't know about Immigration Law.If you filed I-485 and I-765 then you will get the work permit.Contact your congressperson to inquire on your behalf.

Hola amigos! I was missing some notices of USCIS about my Vawa application, i contacted the congressmann, ombudsman and never got a respond back,   i requested my FOIA and finally i was able to optain the  notice numbers and review the application, the save adress ( my lawyers office) was wrong , so thats why we never received any papers.

i was able to obtain the FOIA in less than 4 weeks ( FOIA is taking 6 months ) because i have a case with the immigration judge.

my lawyer send to vermont a letter to change the adress.

I haven't receive a PRIMA FACIE yet ( it's bot on my FOIA so that means they haven't send me one)

vawa send - july 2021

sorry about my grammar, english is my second language 😀

I made an inquiry for my EAD I-765, I was told “application is currently pending with an immigration officer and is within our normal processing times”.

Anyone with similar experience, how long does it take for officer to process case already in their possession.

Hi guys, I'm new here and still learning how to navigate the site.

Wondering if anyone here applied to VAWA without a lawyer just DIY, and if yes a good place to find info in how to do it or if you recommend doing so or just investing in a lawyer for the case

Thank You

did it DIY but had a lot of help from @sandranj. I went back and read all the older vawa threads i could find till I kinda got the hang of it. The application hasn't changed much since them. No approval yet, 3 PFs, 2EADs and no RFE (don't worry these words will make sense as you start reading) but yeah, if you have the time and think it is something you can do, go for it - if not, find a good lawyer. so many of them just want your $ and actually know nothing about this.
