Good day everyone,

Just wanted to give an update that after almost 2 weeks I just received my green card. Usps took a week to ship it to me sadly. Let’s hope I can resume work soon.

Thanks to everyone on this forum, I am not sure how I would have survived those years without it, most days it was the first thing I looked at in the morning and the last thing before bed. For everyone still waiting… trust me.. just hang in there 🌸

Congratulations dear! It’s here now.. how long it took don’t matter no more! 🎉🎊🍾🥂🥳

Hello dear Demise you were right today I got finally call from my attorney she said that judge temporarily closed my case till for my Vawa decision  if everything will ok then we will submit green card application in court

Yeah admin closure is the best you could've received at this point. The case will just sit inactive indefinitely and once you get approved ICE should agree to dismissal.

My own case was admin closed in 2017 because I was trying to do an I-601A via marriage. Still admin closed to this very day. So if you were to get denied you can fly under the radar for a very very long time.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

If you filled everything concurrently then you will get your EAD c09 once they approve that. Sadly lately it is taking 10 to 12 months. I would say give it few more weeks. If you do not hear anything then reach out to your senator/congress person.

It is Wednesday -- time for our Semiofficial Semiweekly eminently upvotable VAWA-Thread Joke:

==========================================================

HOW TO GET TO THE EIFFEL TOWER

A blonde was traveling in France and wanted to see the Eiffel Tower.  She tried to ask people, and found a policeman who agreed to help her.

She asked him, "Sorry, but how do I get from here to the Eiffel Tower?"

The policeman replied, "Wait for bus 37 and get on it.  It will take you there in 10 minutes."

The blonde thanked the policeman, and he left.  Hours later, he happened to go by the same place where he'd left the blonde, and saw her still there.

"Why are you still here?" the policeman asked.  "I left you 4 hours ago, and you haven't boarded the bus?"

"Oh, don't worry, Mr. Policeman -- just a moment ago, the 30th bus passed, so there are only 7 left to go!"

Hi guys, I'm new here and still learning how to navigate the site.

Wondering if anyone here applied to VAWA without a lawyer just DIY, and if yes a good place to find info in how to do it or if you recommend doing so or just investing in a lawyer for the case

Thank You
